Research Areas

Centre for Product Design and Manufacturing pursues excellence in Product Design, Research and industrial interaction activities in the area of product design. The M Des Programme aims at developing skills, knowledge, and aptitude among students to bring about innovation in industry through creative problem solving. On completion of the M. Des program, students will have the ability to identify potential needs of the society and conceptualize and engineer products satisfying the needs. This program lays equal emphasis on engineering design aspects [aesthetics, human interface, marketing and consumer physchology aspects] with the objective to produce post graduate designers with greater analytical ability and synthesizing skills.
